10/15/09 –Product Manager
A small, high-technology company has an opening for a Full-Time Product Manager for its Suffolk County, NY location.
The Company is developing sensor products for use in harsh environments including gas turbine engines and aerospace components for military and commercial use. An individual, with a technical/engineering background is sought to transition the Company’s prototype sensors to commercial products.
The successful applicant will have the following duties/roles:
•Product planning and execution
•Prioritize product and customer requirements
•Define the product vision and work closely with the engineering & operation staff
•Product pricing
•Maintain information on competitive products and be able to clearly differentiate and communicate the value of Company products
•Engage customers and market developed products
•Ensure that the product supports the Company’s overall strategy and goals
Skills:
•Strong verbal and written communication skills
•Good organization skills
•Team player
•Capable of interacting with Company executives within and outside the Company
•Ability to develop product roadmaps, go to market strategies, and pricing in conjunction with engineering/operations
Qualification Requirements:
Education
BS degree in a technical field.
Experience
•5 years of product management experience in the field of sensors
•Success in developing new product requirements, roadmaps, and business plans that meet or exceed their revenue and profit expectations
•Success in positioning products to win in competitive environments
•Proven track record of working closely with engineering staff over product life cycle
